Description:

The Sewer Commission was established by an Act of the State Legislature in 1962, and is responsible for establishing and implementing the policies which are the basis for managing the Town’s sewage collection system and wastewater treatment plant. There are three members of the Sewer Commission who are elected for staggered, three year terms. The Commission meets periodically (usually monthly) and members of the public are welcome to attend the meetings, which are posted. Such matters as applications for sewage connections, requests for abatements, responding to complaints, reviewing operation of the treatment plant and collection systems, reviewing progress on construction and other projects, tracking budgetary issues and planning are covered in these meetings.
